Payments of hire.

 

Payment of hire is taken by either cash or by instant bank transfer. This includes deposits and any additional options taken. We will be unable to taken payment by credit/ debit cards as these are too costly. This payment is taken on arrival prior to handover.

Damage waiver Deposit amount is Deposit is refunded in safe return of the boat less the hire fee.

 

If you wish to extend the hire term whilst already in the harbour particularly if you have only hired for a few hours, this is not a problem as we have enough boats to cover our bookings, and will charge any additional time that is required as the listed rate.

 

Fuel.

 

One tank of 25 litre is included in the hire.( around 4 hours depending on weather conditions, tide conditions  and amount of crew) After this fuel is charged. Although we supply 2x litre tanks suitable for an 8 hour hire.

 

Insurance is included in Hire.

Parking is only at Poole Quay carpark. We can sometimes offer free parking at our boatyard in Poole. Free parking is a available for 2-3 day hire of the boat again at our boatyard in Poole. This included CCTV and on site security at our premises.

 

Boat is Max 4 Adults and 2 small children.

 

Safety .

 

A full handover will given to familiarise yourself with your hire craft. Once we are happy, we can set you on your way. If you have had boating experience before, even if you only done the Norfolk broads before for example, please let us know that way the quicker we can get you going. If you have any qualifications please bring this with you. All life jackets will be supplied and we will check you are wearing the correct size jackets as required.

 

Please note, if we are not happy that you may be unsuitable to use the boat, and we become concerned of your safety and your crew we reserve the right not to hire the boat and any refund will be given. Please see our term and conditions.

 

In the event you have a problem with the boat, we have a fast Avon Rib safety boat on hand to assist you as require. You will have a emergency contact number on board to assist this.

 

Weather conditions.

 

Weather conditions over 15 knots may not be suitable for hire. We will monitor weather conditions the day before your booking time and advise according. Generally the main problem in Poole harbour (more so in the summer rather than the winter!) is the winds speeds despite being a sunny day, if you are concerned please contact us. We reserve the right to cancel a booking if we feel the weather conditions do not suit. This is the interests of safety.  In rainy conditions the boat is fully protected from the elements. We will also advise on pending weather condition during the hire period and this will also be taken into account particularly during longer hire time and we will advise you accordingly.
